What it is

CK Collectibles is a full-stack e-commerce marketplace for vintage and rare collectibles — toys, games, memorabilia, electronics. The site includes a customer-facing storefront with category filtering and product listings, and a separate admin panel for managing inventory, adding products, and updating badges.

This was my most technically complete project up to that point — the first time I built both the front-end and a working back-end with real data management. Everything from the design to the deployment was done by me.

Key decisions

01
Dark storefront, light admin panel
The storefront uses a dark teal palette that gives it an editorial, premium feel — collectibles have a culture around them and the design needed to reflect that. The admin panel switches to a clean light interface because it's a working tool, not a shopfront, and clarity matters more than atmosphere when you're managing data.
02
Search bar for quick access
Rather than relying purely on category navigation, I added a search bar so users can jump straight to what they're looking for. Collectibles browsing can be specific — someone looking for a particular game or toy doesn't want to filter through categories, they want to type and find it immediately.
03
Browse Collection with filter dropdown
The Browse Collection button takes you to a full listing of every item in the shop. From there, a filter dropdown lets you narrow by category — Clothing & Shoes, Movies & Music, Vintage Toys & Games, and more. It gives casual browsers the full picture while still letting focused buyers filter down quickly without leaving the page.
